General Dermatology
Assessment and treatment of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. An MSP-covered dermatologist consultation requires a medical referral.
What to expect
A dermatology consultation begins with a review of your symptoms, medical history, medications, and previous treatments, followed by a focused examination. Depending on the concern, the physician may discuss testing, treatment, monitoring, or a procedure at a future visit.
Common reasons for assessment include acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rashes, changing or concerning lesions, hair loss, nail concerns, and other persistent skin conditions. The appropriate plan depends on the individual diagnosis.
